Windows 10: Windows Laptop hanging/freezing issue after SSD Installation

Hey all,I have a Dell Vostro 3468 Laptop and Windows 10 Professional installed in it.It was running smoothly except increased boot and restart times before I installed an SSD in addition to the previous hard drive as OS Drive on the laptop. Now it keeps hanging or freezing for no reason occasionally in a day. I'm not running a number of programs. Only Chrome is open with 5-7 tabs and still, it hangs for 10-20 seconds randomly.What I have done so far is:Updated Windows to the latest available update.All device drivers are up to date.I have run a Windows Defender scan.Windows Memory Diagnost

SSD stops and freezes laptop

Couple of updates:

1. I created a Linux boot USB key, and monitored my SSD under Linux, so this is evidently not a Windows issue, and
2. I loaded new firmware for the SSD, and my system seems to be functioning normally now. What a pleasure using a PC that doesn't consistently freeze up.

Windows 10 hangs/freezes on Restart

If this happens even during installation, that means that it is probably a hardware issue. To troubleshoot the problem, I suggest doing the following steps:

1. Install Hard Disk Sentinel and use it to check your HDD/SSD for problems.
   
2. Use MemTest to make sure that your RAM is ok. Here is a how to - guide.
   

After You done these two steps, give a feedback of the results.

 

Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.
