Windows 10: Windows license was transfered to another PC for some reason

A couple of months ago, I got a digital license for Windows 11 and installed it on my current computer. Everything was working fine. But then I built a new computer and put Windows 10 on it. To avoid any trouble with the license I already had on my main computer, I used a different email to buy a new license for the new computer so I wouldn't risk having any licensing issues. I hadn't gotten around to buying a license for my secondary computer because I wasn't using it, but yesterday I started getting pop-ups on my main computer to activate it. When I looked at the activation settings, it said

i bought the license. My laptop was originally loaded with win 7 and was upgraded free couple of months.

in this case, if i understand you correctly, i can transfer with below steps. Right.?

and to my question do you have an update.

does OS upgrades if my activation key is changed.

It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.
