Windows 10: Windows Link shows a name not associated with a specific telephone number

In windows 10, WINDOWS LINK, I receive calls or text messages that has a name that is not associated with the incoming telephone number

Telephone numbers showing as links in Microsoft Edge Browser


When viewing my web site pages in Microsoft Edge browser, all the telephone numbers appear as links even though they are not.

When I view pages using Firefox they look like an ordinary list of telephone numbers as they should. They also look like ordinary telephone number on my tablet

Any idea how I can stop them looking like links when I use Microsoft Edge Browser

Telephone numbers in emails not linking with contacts

HTC HD7 - ver 7004. So I get emails from an answerphone service that puts the voicemail as an attachment. Within the email it will detail the mobile or land line number from that person. The telephone number is underlined. What I assume should happen
is when I click on the telephone number in the email the persons contact information comes up - this does not occur the phone essentially treats this number as a new number with no profile associated with it.

The email is linked to an exchange account and the contacts are all in exchange and on the phone.



Can someone help?

 

Call history sometimes shows name and sometimes show number.

Thats odd. In the history on phone, it always shows the name and always shows the names on the called ID. Does that contact have more than one phone number associated to them in your contacts list?

As you have tried soft reset already, I can only suggest trying a hard reset or try use another WP8 device to see if the issue is reproduced.
