    Windows Live Mail Auto Starting


    Help please,
    Does anyone know why or how to stop my Windows Live Mail from starting up automatically when I
    turn on my computer ? I have checked ALL the startup, services, start up folder and the rest of autos
    all to no avail. any ideas greatly appreciated. I am using Windows 10

    Live mail - windows 10.

    Option 1:

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Task Manager

    Click Startup

    Select Windows Live Mail then click Disable

    Option 2:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: shell:startup

    Hit Enter

    If you see Windows Live Mail in that window, select it then delete it

    Option 3:

    Open Start > Settings > Accounts > sign-in options

    Scroll down to Privacy

    Toggle off

    Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart.

    Hi Shiron.

    If you are sure the program is set right and there is nothing within Startup there is likely a registry key.

    Using Autoruns from Sysinternals should allow you to find the "Start". This is a powerful tool and it will do as asked. Please ensure at a minimum you have a restore point. I would recommend a system image with a tool like Macrium Reflect as System Restore can fail at the worst times. Have bootable media.
