    Windows Live Mail stopped working after last Windows 10 update


    Since the last update of Windows 10, when I open Windows Live Mail every message produces "Message cannot be displayed." I tried running the "repair" utility, but nothing changed. Is this a widespread issue? I really liked Live Mail and had a lot of messages saved that I can no longer access. HELP!

    Windows Live Mail stopped working-- need help!

    Windows Live mail has worked on & off, since the November update of Windows 10. It would open, download mail, & immediately stop responding. Ran troubleshooter. The results are that WINDOWS LIVE MAIL IS AN "INCOMPATIBLE PROGRAM". Regardless, your recommendation
    fixed the problem. THANK YOU very much!

    So now there's no way to get a @live account to work with Windows Live Mail now?

    I've been getting the 3219 error, googled it, found solution (to use the Mail program of Win 10 etc.

    But I like the interface of Windows Live Mail - I have all my email addresses on it, now it's refusing the most important @Live one which I use for work.

    Is there a way to get Windows Live to work with @live.com mail addresses or is all hope lost?

    1. What is the exact error message that you received?

    2. Which version of Windows Live Essentials are you using on the computer?

    This issue might have happened due to some components of your Windows Live Mail become corrupted. I suggest you follow these steps to repair it.


      • Press Windows key + X to access Control Panel.

      • Click Control Panel.

      • Click Programs.

      • Click Programs and Features.

      • Search for Windows Live Essentials then double click it.

      • Click Repair all Windows Live programs.
