Windows 10: Windows Live Media Player Ate my Gosh Darn Captions!

Hello! I use Windows Live Media Player because I need to make a lyric video for a personal project, but when I tried to open my file, the captions load and then they disappear. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

WMC WTV Closed Captioning does not display in Windows 10 Media Player

I have a hearing disability.

I require Closed Captioning to enjoy video.

I use Windows 8.1 Media Center Edition as a whole home DVR to record over the air TV programming.

I watch these OTA TV recordings in other rooms using Windows 7 Media Center or Xbox. These playback devices display closed captioning perfectly.

I purchased Windows Movie & TV player for my new Windows 10 computer.

Windows Movie & TV player will not recognize WTV files.

Windows 10 Media Player will recognize and play sound and video from WTV files after installing Windows Movie & TV player.

Windows 10 Media Player will not display closed captions, even when closed captions are configured to display in the Media Player options and in Windows 10 System settings.

How can I watch WTV files with closed captioning on a Windows 10 computer?

This is an accessibility issue for me and other hearing disabled.
