Windows 10: Windows "Lock Screen" Background is not changing though it's set to "Windows Spotlight"

My understanding is Windows Spotlight is to show different places through photos with pieces of information describing those photos. Since install of Windows 11, I have changed background and my lock screen is set to "Spotlight" but it will/does not change from a deep blue background with a lighter blue "light" looking effect. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Lock screen background as Windows Spotlight

Hi,

I am unable to set the lock screen background as Windows Spotlight. Everytime I set the background as Windows Spotlight, close and reopen the settings, I find the background set to "Picture" again.

Any suggestion, on how this problem can be fixed?

Windows Spotlight on the lock screen

There are multiple causes on why you're encountering this issue. To further troubleshoot the issue, we suggest that you disable and re-enable Spotlight. Simply follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the desktop and open Personalize.
• Open Lock Screen tab.
• Under Background, switch from Windows Spotlight to a Picture or the Slideshow.
• Click OK and close the Window.
• Now Log off and log in.
• Navigate to Lock screen and enable Windows Spotlight again.
