Windows 10: Windows Locking NOT Power or Screensaver

I recently purchased and installed Windows 11 however have found it will look after 1-2 minutes of inactivity. I have ammended all the power settings, used the registry to surface settings not visible by default, turned off the screensaver locking. Every option I can think of or find, every help article nothing seems to work and it is INFURIATING. Having to log in every few minutes on my own home personal device because of some secret setting is insane.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

On Windows XP, the screensaver was running even when the montior was off which is a waste. Ever since I discovered that, I simply turn screensavers off and have the monitor power down in 5 minutes or less.

 

Windows 10 Screensaver not working with Lock Screen

From the description provided, I understand that the Screensaver feature does not work in Lock screen.

Please be informed that the Lock screen feature in Windows 10 has a separate settings to display the pictures/ slideshow.

To do so, follow the below steps.

• Open Settings, click/tap on the Personalization icon.
• Click/tap on Lock screen on the left side. Enable the slideshow
  option, click or tap the Background drop-down menu and then choose
  Slideshow.
