  1. Windows locks PC after 1 minute of inactivity instead of the specified time

I used secpol.msc, expanded "Local policies" and selected "Security options", then I set "Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit" to 300 to make Windows lock my PC after 5 minutes, but instead it locks after just 1 minute.Screensaver is off, I even set "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ScreenSaveActive" to 0, however the issue still occurs. Since the security policy's description says that its value should be the max inactivity time in seconds, I expect a value of 300 to lock my PC after 5 minutes.I noticed that "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ScreenSaveT

  3. Windows 10 times out after 1 minute of inactivity

I have changed all settings in Advanced Power Options. Although it is set not to time out until after 180 minutes of inactivity, the computer times out and returns to lock screen. I have to put in my password every time. I purposely set up my new HP
Envy Desktop so that I did not need a password. My computer worked fine until after the latest update. Does anyone have any other suggestions and will Microsoft fix this?
