Windows 10: Windows login password

Hi, post the recent update, I am unable to login to my laptop. Prior the update, I used to login with the PIN. However, now I don't get the option to sign in with the PIN. It asks me to login with my Microsoft password, which doesn't work despite inputting the correct password. I even changed my Microsoft password couple of time to see if I'd work but it won't, although using the updated / new correct password. The 'I forgot my password' link doesn't seem to work at all. It says, "something went wrong and please try again later" consistently even though I'm connected to the internet. I tr

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

No login password craziness

Brink, that was the missing step. What threw me off was in netplwiz, where it asks about password for my MS account, the user name was not the same as my MS account name. Once I entered the password (twice) I can now login without entering a password. In fact the name that was listed was not the MS account name, but a folder name. The folder is the one that shows when you click on C:\Users.
