    windows logo does not show on second screen when laptop is rebooting or waking from sleep...


    i have my laptop docked and whenever i start up the pc i will only see a black screen and no windows startup on my big screen while the laptop has the lid closed. any ideas on how i can have it show the windows logo with the lid closed ?

    Delayed wakeup from sleep and MB logo splash screen shows for seconds before waking

    After upgrading to Windows 10 my computer now takes several seconds to wakeup from sleep mode and before waking shows the ASUS logo splash screen before waking up. I've never had any delay like this before and certainly no logo splash screen during wakeup.
    Why the delay and why the logo splash screen?

    Black screen when laptop wakes from sleep

    Hi

    Very strange issue started today... Upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and everything has been OK...

    Today, if I click on the Windows logo, then select the power symbol and then sleep, the laptop goes to sleep OK.... When I open the lid to wake the laptop I get a black screen and have to hit the power button to reboot.... all is fine then...

    If I do the same procedure but DO NOT shut the lid and just hit any key to wake it, it is fine.....

    The power settings are set to send the laptop to sleep when I close the lid, if I just close the lid it goes to sleep as it should, if I then open the lid it wakes OK...

    Why would using the Windows logo > Power > Sleep cause issues? and just closing the lid to do the same thing work perfect...

    As I say been OK until today...

    Using laptop as desktop - can't wake it from sleep with wireless mouse or keyboard.

    • 4. Test waking from Sleep with the monitor connected to the laptop.
    • 5. Disconnect the monitor from the laptop, reboot, then test waking from Sleep without an external monitor.

    No luck with monitor connected. Disconnected the monitor, rebooted, then tested wake-from-sleep with no external monitor - no luck.
