Windows 10: Windows logs into TEMP profile after restart

Hi, I recently changed my user folder name in Windows, and after restarting my computer, I was logged into a temporary TEMP profile instead of my original user account. My original user folder is still visible in C:\Users, but Windows does not log me into it. I checked the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList and noticed that my old profile entry is either missing or pointing to the TEMP folder. I tried renaming the registry keys as suggested in some guides, but it didn’t work. Now, I can't log into my old account, and my settings, files,

Windows temp profile

Hi..

I am facing the problem of temp profile login. I followed few steps stated in the websites like removing .bak from your SID. but it doesn't work. Still my profile is logging in to temp profile.

Please do suggest some solution

Logs into temp profile

I upgraded from windows 8 to windows 10 yesterday and when I logged in it said preparing windows, then said I was logged into a temp profile.

in the event log I have the following

event 1502

Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile.

DETAIL - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

(the online help goes to a page that is not available )

I also have an error 1508

Windows was unable to load the registry. This problem is often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights.

for C:\Users\mike\ntuser.dat

I can not use sfc because I do not have admin rights in temp profile

Logging out and logging back in gives same results...preparing windows then temp profile

 

cannot undelete the temp user profile - window 10

on 3/17 i accidentally deleted the user bak file in the profile list in registry. I have windows 10.

Now when i log in the compute rit is always on a temp user accoun tacting as the administrator.

All my files are on the computer but they don't show up on the screen because i am logged in temp user account.


my user id is my name. when you log in it keeps loggin in as TEMP.AgnesDonnadieu.000.001.002 TEMP.AgnesDonnadieu.000.001.002.003 or 004

when you go to profile list it shows one file ending with 1000

and profileimagepath shows C:\Users\and my name twice with a period in between and ending by 000 when it should be just my name.

I don't want to restore files i just want to know how I can restore my normal user profile like this when i log in i can see all my files the way they were before.

I am not a developer so please give me simple step by step instructions.
