Windows 10: Windows Mail app - any method yet to turn off horrible 'Top results'?

We are entering the 6th year of users pleading with Microsoft to remove, or provide an option to turn off, the hideous 'Top results' feature of the Mail app search... Clearly the Outlook/Mail team don't give a flying rat's about users' torment over this obstructive, brain-tangling 'feature'. So, has any other IT-capable person managed to create a workaround - some way, any way, to please, please, please....finally turn this bleepin' thing off?! I mean really, 6 YEARS of useless, screen-hogging content that we have to navigate past EVERY DAY of our short lives. Why don't they care? How hard

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Set Mail app to show mail subject on top instead of sender

In the Mail app's list view, I would like to view the mail's subject on top for each item. The default is showing the senders of the mail conversation on top, then the subject with smaller font, then the content brief.

In the Outlook app, I used to be able to set this order. Is it somehow possible for Mail?

I looked in all the options of the app and the help it linked to. Also googled some, but not exactly sure what I'm supposed to search for to reduce irrelevant results.

 

Address Book for Windows 10 mail app

Windows 10 uses the People App. I have ,mine pinned to my taskbar.



Method 1:

Step 1:Check if People app tile is showing on the Start menu
by pressing Start key on keyboard

Step 2: If it is not displayed, then I suggest you to check using
Cortana by following the steps below:

• Press Start key on the keyboard and type People.
• Select the top most search result.

Step 3: You can also check in All settings from start menu by following the steps below:

• Press Start key on the keyboard and click on All settings option from the bottom left corner of the window.
• Check if People app is listed under alphabet P.

Method 2: If you do not find it in PC, you can download
People app from the Windows Store by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key on the keyboard and type Windows Store.
• Select the top most search result.
• Type People in the search and download the
  People app.
