Windows 10: Windows Mail App crashing on launch

Recently had to go through some troubles with trying to do an in house restore, and while for the most part everything seemed to return to normal well apart from iCUE the windows mail app for some reason is not. Whenever I launch the app it opens the usual blue loading screen with the mail logo but then immediately closes. I've tried repairing, resetting and even plain reinstalling the app but it has not made a difference

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail and Calendar App refuses to launch

From the description provided, I understand that the Mail App refuses to launch in Windows.

To be able to understand the issue better, let us know if you receive any error messages related to the issue.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check for the latest updates in Windows 10 which helps the PC to make optimal use of Windows 10 capabilities as well as fixing any missing links in performance of the operating system.

To check for updates now, go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select
Check for updates. If Windows Update says that your PC is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.

and check if it helps.

If it still does not help, follow the below steps to reinstall the Mail App in Windows.

Step 1 Uninstalling the Mail App

• 
  Press Windows key and type Powershell
  in search, right click on it and Open as administrator .
  
• 
  Type the following command in Powershell and hit enter:
  
  get-appxpackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | remove-appxpackage
  

Step 2 Reinstalling the Mail App

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!
