Windows 10: Windows Mail App Freezes or Crashes

Hey all, I’m assisting a coworker with some issues with the Windows 10 Mail app. It had been working fine, then these issues seemed to appear out of nowhere. Issue 1: Windows Mail app partially freezes until closed. Whenever you click on an email with an attachment, the app freezes, and you can’t click on anything. The type of attachment doesn’t matter – whether it’s a PDF, image, or simple text document. However, you can still scroll the reading pane. The app will properly close when clicking the ‘X’ to close. Issue 2: Frequently switching between folders like Inbox, Sent, or Deleted

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Windows 10 Mail App keeps freezing and then crashing

just like what the title suggests. It was only after a recent windows update that im EVEN able to open the mail app and view the email lists, however it doesn't show me the contents of the email, nor does it allow me to click on anything within the app.
Once the apps open it just freezes. After a few minutes, the mail app window closes by itself.
