Windows 10: Windows Mail App slow to load attachments from email sent via gmail web interface

I've seen a lot of issues as far back as 2015 related to Microsoft Mail app being slow to load attachments.

Here it is 2019 and I'm also seeing this same problem -- None of the old support requests seems to have a good answer why this is happening.


I discovered something I haven't seen mentioned before.


If you use the GMail web interface to create an email and Copy/Paste a picture into it... and send it to yourself. Then in Windows Mail app view that email you just sent and see that it takes incredibly long to see the picture displayed.

However, if you use the Microsoft Mail app (using same GMail account) to send the same type of email to yourself.. then in this case when you view the received mail then the attachment appears instantly.


I've tried this on multiple Win10 machines, tried removing and re-adding the accounts in the App, turned off virus protection, etc. etc... Nothing has helped.


The fact that people have been having this problem sine 2015 doesn't give me hope that this will be resolved. But if anyone has any suggestions on how to address this I'd love to hear them.

Windows 10 Mail App, Gmail and Pdf Attachments

Emails sent with Pdf attachments do not appear with the pdf attachment in the Windows 10 mail app. the email shows but the attachment is missing. This happens for every email picked up from gmail with the default gmail account type and also manual configuration
of a gmail account. Is this a known issue? Is there anywhere to see a list of bugs for the Mail app?

 

Gmail - Getting mails not exactly sent to me

No one else is getting anyone's mail because of this... It is NOT a bug.
It is intentional. All those addresses belong to you, no matter where the dot.

Gmail shows mail messages sent from Lumia 1020 as being sent twice (duplicae sent emails)

When I send e-mail from my Nokia Lumia 1020 Microsoft Windows Phone 8 they show up in my Gmail sent folder twice. It appears as if the messages are being sent twice.



I have read forum threads on this and similar issues, but found no explanation. My problem is only with messages I send from the phone. I do not have any problems with incoming email or mail I send from the Gmail web interface or Gmail apps.



Again, when I send e-mail from my phone Gmail shows the messages as being sent twice.
