Windows 10: windows mail deleted all non-hotmail email accounts

Hi,


I use microsoft mail to access my 14 emails accounts, including 2 hotmail accounts.

This morning, I opened mail and realized that 12 of my email accounts were deleted from microsoft mail.

only the 2 hotmail accounts were still present and working.


Is microsoft stopping support of non-hotmail accounts?


It'd be an amazing coincidence that 12 accounts were removed and the only ones that still work are hotmail's.



I have a backup I made a week ago. how can I recover these email accounts?

is there a config file I can just copy from my backup and restore?





PS: I couldn't find any windows topics related to "Windows Mail"

Deleting hotmail accounts?

Hi ! Is there any way even tricky to fully delete older hotmail accounts?

 

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

 

Delete emails from my Hotmail account delete Windows Phone

Hi Evan,

I was experiencing the same issue last month and brought it up this past Monday to one of the Windows Phone 7 Engineers that I meet at the MSFT NERD convention. They weren't aware of the issue.



The way I was able to resolve the issue was by doing the following:

• Go to Settings
• Go to E-mail + Accounts
• Click the Hotmail Account you're having an issue with
• Under Content to Sync, uncheck Email
• Go to the home Screen and the account should be gone.
• Go back to E-mail + Accounts
• Under Content to Sync, check Email
• Return to the Home Screen
• (Optional) Pin the mail box again where you want

Steps 1 through 5 delete the e-mails from the phone and the account.

Steps 6 through 8 re-configure the mail box and syncs the account completly with Hotmail Server.

Ever since i did this, I've had no issues with deleting e-mails on the server and not updating on the phone.
