    windows mail outgoing mail issue

We recently purchased a new computer after the previous one crashed. We have been using Windows Mail not Outlook for the past month on the new computer, with the settings for our Spectrum email account. Suddenly yesterday all of our outgoing messages are stuck in the "outbox" - still receiving incoming messages like normal. I haven't changed any settings on the computer, and I am still able to send emails from this account on my iPhone and through Spectrum's webmail program. Any suggestions appreciated.

    :)

    Windows Mail

Is it possible to set up more than one email account when using Windows Mail? I hate Thunderbird because I could never get more than one email account set up and be able to send mail from both accounts. The outgoing servers kept on getting mixed up.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, Windows mail (on Vista) is almost identical to Windows Live Mail (which I use here at work on XP), and have multiple accounts set up.

Windows Live Mail has one of the best out-of-the-box spam detectors I have ever seen in an e-mail client, and of course, it's free.

The one thing I like about WLM over Windows Mail on Vista, is that WLM does not use popup box verification when you delete the entire junk mailbox (it does, however, on the deleted mailbox). If I hit the delete key for a whole mailbox, I mean it. Honestly, you don't have to ask me if I am sure about what I am doing.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. windows mail outgoing mail issue :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)
