Windows 10: Windows Mail Search function Error

When searching e-mails on windows mail,

When I use the search online function and additional results are returned,

If I try to click on one of those search results the program starts rapidly clearing all of the results from the search, one by one, including the one I wish to view.

This makes the search function unusable.

I have tried re-installing windows mail with no success.


Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

thanks for your suggestion, and no, the windows search index was not the problem. it's the mail app that does not work as expected:

expected behavior:

1. type a keyword
2. return search results containing that keyword

observed behavior:

1. type a keyword
2. no results
3. search online
4. still no results and no error msg

Yahoo Mail Search Functions Fails In Microsoft Edge Browser

When I search my Yahoo mail, opened in Microsoft Edge, it gives me error:

An error occurred while trying to fetch the items in this list. Retry

Search works okay when Yahoo Mail is opened in other browser.
Why so? I just switched to Edge and I noticed this.
