Windows 10: Windows media creation tool gave me corrupted install.esd file.

Hi. I've experience installed windows for so many time. this is my first time encounter the problem.

First I downloaded creation tool from official site and proceed to make the USB boot from the official tool. Install.esd missing. Huh I check and it's there.

So I just redownload the tool and start over. same outcome. well maybe I should try create ISO and use rufus instead.

Rufus also stuck trying to copy the install.esd file.

Windows 10 ESD via media creation tool.

Hello i am trying to upgrade my laptop to windows 10 (In place upgarde).I was downloading windows 10 using media creation tool and now file 10586.0.160426-1409.th2_refresh_clientsinglelanguage_ret_x64fre_en-us_.esd is downloaded.

I was looking for esd files what they are and found that a third party tool
esd-decrypter-wimlib is required to convert esd to iso.I just want to ask and confirm which version of esd-decrypter-wimlin i need to do this.

Media Creation Tool ->> ESD folder

Hello Everyone !

Here I've used Media Creation Tool to download Windows 10 iso but when it reached 85> it crashed.

So I want to ask few questions:

1. Does the media creation tool is still running download through Service host as I've seen Service host being using internet and disk even after the tool has stopped and the tool wsn't using much resource when it was running.

2. There a ESD folder being created in drive c after the tool started. It has only a Download folder not even other hidden folders and there is a BTD20C.tmp file in it greater than 2.3 GB. Can I anyhow recover is from that if it's been completed ?
