Discus and support Windows media player columns not appearing when ticked etc in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; In Windows media Player, the columns are not helpful.     Windows media player columns not appearing when ticked etc


    In Windows media Player, the columns are not helpful. I cannot get album artist and contributing artist together in some views even when the option is ticked in 'Choose columns'. there are several screens where the columns i have ticked don't appear at all. In others i cannot even get song title. If I uninstall and reinstall will i lose all the info that i have input? I am trying to get my playlist in order and it is really difficult.

    Release Year column doesn't appear in Windows Media Player

    Hi, I am trying to set up Windows media player to appear the way wanted to. I have my columns in the following order: Title, Length, Contributing Artist and Date Added. I have right clicked in WMP and clicked on ''Choose Columns'". I ticked the boxes next
    to Genre and Release Year, and moved them so by default they should appear after contributing artist, but for some reason they aren't appearing. I tried unticking and reticking both of them, and I have tried closing and reopening wmp. I went to the help chat
    and did what the agent suggested, but that didn't work either. Please help.

    Hi,

    For us to isolate the issue further, we’d like to know the following:

    • What is the version of your Windows Media Player?
    • Did you get any error message? If yes, kindly specify.
    In the meantime, I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the
    Windows Media player    . Here are the steps how to:

    • Press Win button + R on your keyboard.
    • In the text box, type Control.
    • On the left pane, click Turn Windows features on or off option to see Windows Features window.
    • Expand Media Feature list, then uncheck Windows Media Player box. It will give a prompt message;
      this will also turn of Windows Media Center click yes as you will need
      to reinstall it after.
    • Reboot PC.
    • You need to reinstall Windows Media Player. Open Windows Features, tick the Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center, then install it from there.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Faulty Windows Media Player

    Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

    It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)
