    I am using the latest version of Windows 11 Pro and the Windows Media Player from the Microsoft Store.I am playing mkv files containing 4k videos with subtitles.I have bought all codecs from the Microsoft Storewindows media player crashes hangs when loading subtitles :Dolby AccessDTS Sound UnboundAV1 Video ExtensionHEVC Video ExtensionVP9 Video ExtensionPlaying image and sound works just fine but as soon as I try to load a subtitle Media Player hangs. If I chose from the beginning a subtitle it works, but if I move the timeline forward and backwards it hangs again.

    Subtitles in Windows Media Player

    Hello. I am having a hard time viewing subtitles in Windows Media Player on my Windows 10. I have turned the "on if available" in Lyrics, Captions & Subtitles from the options menu, but it is still not loading. I dragged and dropped the subtitle file in
    the media player, but it wouldn't load it.

    Please help. It is frustrating.

    Unable to disable subtitles in Windows Media Player

    Hi folks,

    I rented Shutter Island last night and was unable to disable the subtitles in Windows Media Player. Is this something to do with regional playback protection? Does anybody have a workaround to fix this issue?

    Faulty Windows Media Player

    Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

    It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)
