Windows 10: Windows Media Player for Windows 11

I am trying to play an MP4 video file and it will only play the audio portion of the recording. The video plays fine on the device I recorded it on. The error message I get is: "A codec is required to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download from the web, click Web Help." Web help is no help. I have downloaded several codecs and none of them have helped. What codec do I need to get? Thanks

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

and from the last link is the same error where you can just disable it too =)
