Windows 10: Windows Media Player got broken with recent update!

Hello,


On 13.‎06.‎2018 I installed the "Windows 10, build 1803" update for my computer. Since then I can't play my own music. After this update, my Media Player stopped working. It doesn't even launch. When I try to run it, it says that the Media Player is not installed properly and needs to be reinstalled. Gives me an option to download it from the web.

But I can't find the download button on any page. I'm using Mozilla Browser... Tried to open the page with Edge but it doesn't even load the page.


When I use the built-in add/remove features I can remove the player then re add it, but the issue persists, it still won't load.


Could anybody tell me what's going on with recent Windows updates, why is everything getting broken? Is this planned obsolescence taking place?

Also, can anyone give me the DIRECT link (to the *.*exe file) to download the latest build of Media Player?


I would appreciate any replies given, hope somebody can guide me... I want my player back..

Broken Windows Media Player

Hi,

Have you tried running the troubleshooter for WMP? If not, we suggest that you try to run the troubleshooter and
see if it helps. To run the troubleshooter, follow these steps:

• 
  On the search bar, type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on
  Programs.
  
• 
  Under
  Media
  Player, click on
  Windows Media Player Settings
  and
  Windows Media Player Library.
  

Let us know how it goes.

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

and from the last link is the same error where you can just disable it too =)
