  2. How do I stop Media Player from adding OneDrive Music to the library

Thanks for the suggestion but it didn't work. After receiving your reply, I performed the steps as you suggested. That was two days ago. Yesterday, when I checked, OneDrive\Music was still
not in the library. Today, different story. OneDrive\Music is again included in the library and Media Player is now updating the library and producing two copies of everything to me. Not only that but since I had
the OneDrive Music folder set to not take up space on my local hard drive, Media Player has begun to download everything from the Cloud and I now have two copies of the files on my PC. That equates to 43 GB of music and artwork doubled. Kind of a waste of
space. Blocking the app has no effect. It just keeps restarting. I suspect it is because it isn't a Windows Store App.

"Corrupted" Windows Media Player Library. How do I fix, and stop "Updating"?

My Windows Media Player Library on Windows 10 has music folders imported from several older computers and put onto a separate M:\ drive in different folders under the "Music" Library. There are many duplicates of music and I want to delete the duplicates
from the Windows Media Player Library. When I highlight and delete the music items, the Windows Media Player immediately begins what it calls "Updating" and it adds the deleted music back to the Library. To try to stop this I have unchecked everything under
the Library settings that would add things back to the Library and I also have Windows Media Library set to "Delete from my computer when I delete from the Windows Media Player Library". I have also run the trouble shooter and it says the Windows Media Player
is "Corrupted" but it does not offer a solution or a fix. How do I stop the Windows Media Player Library from adding the duplicate songs I've deleted back to the Library. Because I have checked the box to "Delete from my computer when I delete from Windows
Media Player Library" why are the songs not being totally deleted from my computer? What is the fix? Thanks.

    Hi Paul,

I suggest you to sync iTunes with Windows Media Player and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below to sync iTunes with Windows Media Player

    • Double-click on the Windows Media Player icon.
    • Right-click inside the toolbar at the top of Windows Media Player. Click "File" and "Manage Libraries."
    • Right-click inside the toolbar at the top of Windows Media Player. Click "File" and "Manage Libraries."
    • Click "Add." Add the library where your iTunes music is stored to Windows Media Player. This is the directory that was selected when iTunes was initially installed. Click "OK." iTunes and Windows Media Player will be synced.

Please get back to us with an update on this issue, we will be happy to assist you further.

    Thank you
