Windows 10: Windows Media Player missing codec code 0x887a0004

Discus and support Windows Media Player missing codec code 0x887a0004 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Just this week me windows media player stopped showing the videos, but still has sound!     Windows Media Player missing codec code 0x887a0004


    Just this week me windows media player stopped showing the videos, but still has sound! I have Windows 10. My media player is updated automatically. when I try and play the video, I get the message, "Missing codec 0x887a0004. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    TV & Film app missing codec 0X887a0004 error

    Hi there I am getting a "missing codec 0X887a0004" code when I am trying to watch a video in the TV and Film app. If I open with Windows media player it works. Your assistence will be appreciated.

    Faulty Windows Media Player

    Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

    It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)
