  1. Windows Media Player not seeing my Android Phone for Syncing

I suddenly have a problem with Windows Media Player not seeing my Android phone for syncing purposes. I'm running Windows 11 and have been for over a year. I can see all my phone file on File Manager but Windows Media Player still shows "connect device" on the sync tab. I can still sync to my USB thumb drive without a problem. Any advice??

    :)

  2. Syncing Media Player with Android phone

I am trying to sync windows media player on Windows 11 to my new Samsung Galaxy A34. I cannot see within Media Player how to do this. I recently changed my android phone and swapped everything over vie Smart Switch, including my music tracks on the previous phone. On the new phone some tracks are however failing to play and/or skipping to other tracks. I can only think that the Samsung Music app is the problem and I thought perhaps if I uninstalled this app from my phone and reinstalled it, this might do the trick. Presumably this will open a new Samsung Music app with no tracks on it. I cannot see within Media Player how this can be done since there appears to be no sync buttons as there used to be last time I used media player. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

  3. Syncing Media Player with Android phone

    Hello DenisDadson,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

We understand that you want to sync Media Player to your new phone , we understand that you have some problems to sync your data when you change your new phone, I understand how you feel.

In some cases, there may be two Windows Media Players in the system, Type "Media Player" in the Windows search box.if your computer has two Windows Media Players, open them separately to check if there is an option to synchronize, usually it will appear in the top menu bar.

If you can find the Synchronize button, you can continue with the following steps:

    • Synchronization in Windows Media Player usually requires that you connect your phone to the computer using a data cable, make sure that your Samsung Galaxy A34 phone is connected to the computer and that file transfer mode (MTP) is enabled on the phone.
    • Open Windows Media Player and navigate to the "Sync" option.
    • In the "Sync" option, select the music tracks to be synchronized.
    • In the "Sync" tab, select your Samsung Galaxy A34 phone as the synchronization device. If your phone doesn't show up in the list, try reconnecting your phone or updating your phone driver.

I hope the above steps can help you solve this problem, if you have more questions or need further help, please feel free to reply!

Windows Media Player not seeing my Android Phone for Syncing

Windows Media Player not sensing android phone

I can successfully rip an album from a CD and drag and drop it to the Sync column but unable to Sync as the android device is not listed on the left column. The android device however is showing as a drive on the PC but not sensed by the Media Player.

Normally the android device is sensed automatically be the media player but no more. Can anybody please advise?
