Windows 10: Windows Media Player options

I have set up my PC, running Windows 11 Home ver. 24H2 running an Intel Core i7 with 32GB RAM and at 64-bit OS. I am using the new Window Media Player and trying to access a setting in ripping CDs. When I am in WMP and click on "Rip Settings" I find only 2 settings, Format and Bit rate. I would like to change the default folder for ripping CDs. According to a number of Windows help websites including yours, it indicates that this setting should be there. I've tried a number of other things, including going to the App Settings in Windows -Apps. and choosing WMP and "Advanced Options."

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

and from the last link is the same error where you can just disable it too =)

We suggest you to try this method and check for the issue.

Run the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter
and check, if the issue persists.

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

a. Press “Windows key” on your keyboard.

b. Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under Settings.

c. Now select Programs in the search option.

d. Under Media Player, select Windows Media Player Settings
to run the troubleshooter.
