  1. Windows Media Player: Playlists Successfully Copied between PC's But Not Playable. Media...

I recently bought a new PC with Windows 11. I have a playlists on the old Windows 10 PC in Windows Media Player. Based on various 'how-to' sites, I copied the playlists successfully from the old to new PC i.e., I found the playlist folders in C:\Users\myname\Music\ and copied them to the corresponding location on the new PC. So what's working? The playlists are all there when I open Windows Media Player Version 11.2405.8.0 on the new PC. However, if I try to play an mp3, I get the error, "We can't open [path]. You don't have permission to access the file." This is an example of a path: C:\

  2. N900's Media Player playlist problems

a bit of a random question, but with my n97, i can just create playlists on windows media player, and sync the playlist to the device to only copy a playlist of songs, and then that playlist will show up in the playlists in the media player on my n97.

is it possible to do the same thing with the n900? or do i really have to follow the steps listed previously in this thread?

  3. Importing Playlist from Windows Media Player to Windows 8 Phone

I was able to create a play list with Windows Media Player and add it to my phone and it copied the songs. I did this with Windows 8.1 with the following steps

    • Run Windows Media Player. This is the desktop app, not the Music app from the Start screen.
    • Created a new playlist and added some songs to the playlist.
    • Started the Windows Phone App (the modern UI version, not the desktop version)
    • Clicked the "Add to phone" button and selected "Add playlists".
    • Navigated to the folder containing the playlist created by Windows Media Player. The default folder is "This PC > Music > Playlists" and the file will have a .wpl file extension.
    • Select the playlist and click the add button.
You should see some notification that the playlist and the music files were copied to the phone.

    WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER PLAYLIST SEARCH

As of now, the option that you wanted for Windows Media Player is currently not available. We suggest that you send us a feedback regarding this concern so we could better improve how Windows Media Player works. To send a feedback, click
    here.

For now, you may also follow this steps on how to find which Playlist a particular song is placed:

    • Click on one of your Playlists.
    • Go to the Search box, and then type the title of the song.

If the song is on that particular Playlist, it would show up.

If the song is not on the Playlist, you would get a message: There are no items matching "Title of the song" in this view.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
