Windows 10: Windows Media Player shows video is 2 seconds longer when it is longer

I downloaded a video that Windows Media Player says is 2 seconds long. However, after the 2 seconds have 'finished' the video continues to play the normal length 6 minutes +. I cannot skip ahead or backwards on the video. I have tried opening the video with the Film & TV and Microsoft Clipchamp apps, but they have the same issue. The windows media player is the 11.2406.13.0 version with no available updates. I tried resetting the media player but the issue remains.I have updated my Windows 10 software to the latest possible version and the issue remains.

No songs or videos in Media player

Executed the tracker command + reboot and media player unlike previous times scanned and found my files. But after 2 uses some of my videos and songs no longer shows in the media player. So, I repeated the process and after executing the tracker command
again media player scanned, found my media and again after 2 uses, those same media files which is in the same location as the rest of the files on the media player, were gone.



Where can I find the list of excutable commands for Maemo/N900?



Again any help is appreciated in advance.

Windows Media Player no longer adding certain videos to library

Okay, I read the tag in the file:





It has the right info, so previous attempts must have worked already, without impacting date modified of the file? Or it has always been like that. Either way, it remains listed under other media.

What's more, when checking the tag's value via your addon inside WMP, it's shows the same guid as before, {FCF24A76-9A57-4036-990D-E35DD8B244E1}.

So, I think WMP is puttting the files in other media based on something else? And that results in the different GUID for internal purposes?

Either way, I think it's time to retire WMP. The alternative I talked about is working really well.

In the Windows 10 media player I could advance to the next video by clicking on an > in the side. This seems to be no longer possible in the Windows 11 media player.

In the Windows 10 media player I could advance to the next video by clicking on an > in the side of the display. This seems to be no longer possible in the Windows 11 media player. Does Windows 11 media player no longer have this feature or is there a way to activate this feature?
