Windows 10: Windows Media Player Visualizations Stop Working After Each Song

My Windows Media Player visualizations stop after each song. They don't disappear. They simply act as if there's no sound being played, as if the music is paused.


If I hit the next button, they start to work properly again. But if a song ends and the next one begins automatically, the visualization no longer works. This happens with all visualizations, both default and newly downloaded.


Running the troubleshooter msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerConfigurationDiagnostic resets the settings to default, and tells me "Configuration settings might be set incorrectly." No indication of which setting. I'm hesitant to uninstall and reinstall the player, because the last time I did so, it wouldn't automatically rebuild my library and I had to spend most of a day doing so manually.

and from the last link is the same error where you can just disable it too =)

 

Windows media player will only play 15 seconds of a song

This just started and Itunes plays the same songs fine but media player stops after a few seconds anyone have an idea here.
