Windows 10: Windows Media popup not letting me switch applications

I listen to music a lot and I love the media popup that appears when I pause, skip, or change the volume on my computer that shows me the current song and so on. I used the feature to change the current application that was being played i.e. Listening to a song on spotify, pause and switch to Chrome, unpause video that's loaded. Recently, this arrow has stopped working and I can't change the application being controlled.If anyone has any idea how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

nb: It may be to do with your zip code and or post code not being entered

In regard to your DVD Rom drive - go to -control panel/device manager/DVD/CD-ROM drives -make a note of the make and model number Example: Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-215D ATA Device - highlight the device you have installed -press right mouse button-select properties-details-property and select Install Date from the drop down list and let us know this.

Have you tried running the troubleshooter for WMP? If not, we suggest that you try to run the troubleshooter and
see if it helps. To run the troubleshooter, follow these steps:

  Media
  Player, click on
  Windows Media Player Settings

  Windows Media Player Library.
