Windows 10: Windows Misreporting Disk Space?

Hi all, In need of a bit of help.I don't usually resort to forums, but I'm out of ideas.I believe that Windows may be misreporting the amount of free space on my 2nd Drive, It's a 1tb HDD that does not include my installation of windows.Windows shows it as only having 143gb free, however using in depth drive analysers such as windir and Treesize, only manages to find 600gb ish of files.I have tried the usual suspects such as temp files, recycle bin etc. and they are all empty. There are no system restore points on this drive either Anyone have any ideas? I wouldn't mind if it was only a few gb

Patrick, I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned in
Incorrect Free Space and see if this helps.

NOTE: In the above article, you may need to perform Check Disk, so while performing chkdsk on the hard drive, if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive then chkdsk tries to repair that sector, if any data available on that might be
lost.

Try to run theSystem Maintenance Troubleshooter.

  Press Windows key + W and type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select view all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Click System Maintenance,
  follow onscreen instructions.
  

I suggest you to run Check Disk which performs an analysis of the disk. Refer to the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Command prompt (Admin).
• Type chkdsk /f and hit enter.
