Windows 10: Windows Mixed Reality Issues

Hello!


I'm not sure how many other people have faced these issues, but I can't seem to narrow it down to a simple determination of "Hardware or Software issues," so here we go;


I have the Acer Windows Mixed Reality headset, Zotac 1070ti 8gb, Intel i5 4690k, MSI B85M, 16gb RAM and an "undetermined" USB3.0 card (SupaHub PCI-E to USB 3.0),

I've been using the headset for a few months, and these issues have started to surface recently/randomly; the screens' signal will randomly drop/shut off to pitch-black & either come back on or stay off, the screens will intermittently "flash" on/off with the image still visible, the headset will shut off and the WMR software will crash/reboot, or shut off>blink a blue screen, shut off/restart WMR, image freezes and splices up the image into vertical lines, or image drops completely to a black screen, fade to white, then fade in a few random-colored vertical lines with increasing brightness/color/intensity and attempts to burn-in on the displays, leaving a temporary ghost image/lines on the screens.


I'm going to admit that i'm getting increasingly frustrated with the issue, and frequently restarting/powering off/on, pulling cables and re-plugging them back in, does nothing to resolve the issue.


Can anyone please try to help me resolve this issue?

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.
• Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
• Are you getting any specific error messages when setting up the Mixed Reality Controllers?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

Upon researching, it was stated in this article that KB4284848 "Addresses a performance issue with Windows Mixed Reality on some laptops with hybrid graphics adapters, such as Surface Book 2".
If you're using a laptop that supports hybrid graphics adapters, then its advisable to install the said KB update.
