Windows 10: Windows Mixed Reality stuttering/freezes OS

My Environment:Windows 1020H219042.1110Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0Nvidia driver: 471.41Hardware:AMD Ryzen 5 3600XGygabyte b550m DS3hNvidia RTX2070 SuperI have used my WMR headset Lenovo 14 june 2021 and it did work properly. But today 25.07.2021, when I connect Lenovo WMR to PC, Mixed Reality Portal starts and freezes my PC, it calls black screen blinking. It has very low FPS in VR applications below 20.I suspect that problem in last WMR update.I need help! Now, work with WMR is impossible.I have tried more earlier Nvidia drivers, but they hang my PC more hardly.

I suggest you to try the methods listed below and check if it works for you:



Method 1

Check for Updates:

One of the possible reasons for Windows Mixed Reality not working correctly is the outdated software. I suggest you to check if there are any pending updates and ensure your Windows 10 is up to date. Refer
Update Windows 10, to know how to check for updates.



Method 2

Update Firmware:

• Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
  Device Manager.
  
• Expand Mixed Reality Devices, right click the headset device, and choose
  Update Driver.
  
• Restart the machine, and open Mixed Reality portal to see if the issue persists.
  

Method 3

Uninstall and Reinstall Windows Mixed Reality:

• Go to Settings >
  Mixed reality > Uninstall
  and select Uninstall.
  
• Restart your computer. To start the setup process again, just plug your headset into your PC.

If the issue persists, check the Applications and System Event Logs in Windows (using Event Viewer) and let us know what the logs say at the time of crash.

Hello Bill,

To better assist you with your concern, I'd like to know the following:

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.
3. Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
4. Are you getting any specific error messages when setting up the Mixed Reality Controllers?
5. What is the make and model of your computer?

Upon researching, it was stated in this article that KB4284848 "Addresses a performance issue with Windows Mixed Reality on some laptops with hybrid graphics adapters, such as Surface Book 2".
If you're using a laptop that supports hybrid graphics adapters, then its advisable to install the said KB update.
