Now that Windows movie maker is not available what program would you recommend?

 

re. windows 10 and creating movies

please can I check that for windows 10

1. "movie maker" is not compatible

2. the "live movie maker" that is available is not good at downloading all types of videos, doesn't have a time line and seems to have lots of issues with it

3. basically there is no good quality free option for making decent movies for windows 10

Bump. You can get it with Windows Essentials 2012, check windows movie maker only to install the app. Enjoy.

 

Windows Movie Maker works perfectly in Windows 10.

Microsoft probably made that article that you posted above in order to scare people into thinking that you need to use the horrible, garbage "Windows Store" to download some half-assed "metro/universal app" instead of Windows Movie Maker.

Microsoft is trying REALLY hard with their "app" agenda in Windows 10. I don't like it. I mean, let's be honest... they made a whole support ARTICLE just to say "WMM isn't meant for W10, so use our "appstore" to find an "app" instead".
