Windows 10: Windows Movie Maker

I really loved Windows Movie Maker, in particular the very last version available. It is sadly not available any more and when my hard drive crashed, I lost my favorite application with it. I have tried the Photos app but, while it works just great for editing my digital pictures, it has nowhere the functionality as Movie Maker. I have tried other apps available on line and find them to be cumbersome and do not have the same functionality as Movie Maker. Is Microsoft ever going to bring back an app that has the functionality of Movie Maker including a storyboard where video and audio and both visible, music can be faded in or out etc.? If not, can you recommend an app that does have the functionality and ease of use of Movie Maker.

Windows Movie Maker not recognizing .avi files

We would suggest you to repair the Windows Live Movie Maker and check.

Follow the below steps to repair Windows Live Movie Maker.

• Type appwiz.cpl in the search box and hit Enter.
• Right click Windows Essentials 2012 and select repair.

1. Click the Start menu.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Programs.

4. Click Programs and Features.

5. Search for Windows Essentials on the list and then select it.

6. Click Uninstall/Change.

7. Click Repair all Windows Essentials programs.
