Windows 10: Windows Movies and Tv app is too dark on one Monitor and Fine on the other

Hello, I'm having an issue with the Windows Movies and TV application. I have two monitors, one that I face directly (Primary) and one off to my left (Secondary). The Primary Monitor is Asus vg24bqe, a 1920x1080 144hz (excuse me if I mislabel something) and the secondary is an Asus vg245h, 1920x1080 60hz. The primary monitor gets much better visual quality and vivid colors, so of course, that's where I want to watch my videos, but lately the application seems to be running in some sort of dark mode. This is weird cause there really isn't any way to go into the options as far as I can tell, and I have no idea what could be causing this. I can even have the video in between monitors and get fine quality, but once the majority of it is on the primary monitor, it goes dark.

TL;DR: Video is too dark on one monitor and not the other with no explanation that I can find. Pictures below.

What could be causing this and is there some way to fix it?

Edit: No other application has this issue other than Movies and TV (that I use).

Movies & TV app not working properly.

Hi,

I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key.
• Type Windows Powershell.
• Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.

Movies & TV app stream to XBox One

From the description provided, I understand that the cast button functionality is not working in Movies and TV App.

As an initial recommendation, I would suggest you to run the App Troubleshooter for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Movies & TV App again.
