Windows 10: Windows MSI Gaming Laptop Running Slow.

My MSI laptop was working perfectly fine up until a few weeks ago. I then started trying to get back into a game called FiveM which is a mod for GTA. It requires a high performing PC but a year ago I was playing it consistently with graphics set on high and getting good FPS. Now my laptop can’t run the game on the lowest settings without the fps sometimes being unplayable and the loading times taking forever. I factory reset my laptop to try and improve because the whole laptop started running slow. Since factory resetting, the performance has become even worse. My laptop blue screens all the

My gaming laptop is suddenly running very slow

I've been struggling with this issue for a while now, and I can't take it anymore. My laptop is unbearably slow! I was playing some games as usual (without plugging the laptop into the wall), and when the battery got low, it naturally slowed down and started lagging. I thought it was just because of the low battery, but after plugging it in, the performance didn't improve. I did a fresh install of Windows, hoping that would fix the problem, but my laptop's performance hasn't improved at all. If anyone can help me resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Here are the specs of my laptop, in case they are needed:

MSI Raider GE67HX 12UGS

• Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12800HX 2.00 GHz
  
• Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)

What all troubleshooting steps have you performed?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I would request you to execute the System Maintenance troubleshooter and check if there is any improvement in the speed of laptop.

To perform common maintenance tasks in Windows, such as cleaning up unused files and shortcuts, try using the System Maintenance troubleshooter to automatically find and fix problems. For example, the System Maintenance troubleshooter looks for unused files
and shortcuts that you can clean up or remove so that your computer can run faster.

Please follow the steps to run System Maintenance troubleshooter
on the computer:

  Type “Control Panel” on the search box.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.
  
• 
  Click on System Maintenance option.
  
• 
  Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.

Step 1: I suggest you to run System Maintenance troubleshooter which helps to find and clean up unused files, shortcuts, and perform maintenance tasks.

Follow the below steps:

1. Press Windows and X key together and select
Control Panel.

2. Click on Troubleshooting.

3. Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.

4. Click on System Maintenance option.

5. Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 3: I suggest you to visit the manufacturer website and download and install latest drivers.

Step 4: Let us try to place the computer in
Clean Boot state and try playing the game.

A Clean Boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. You may also troubleshoot
or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.
