Windows 10: Windows Multi Monitor white border overlap issue (pic included)

You will see the second monitor has a small white border, it does not happen with all apps but frequently when I maximize discord or WhatsApp or similar apps.

My both monitors have the same resolution 1440p and set to 125% scaling. Any idea how to solve this issue?

White border when activating Jump List.

I've tried to replicate the issue regarding the white border on the taskbar. However, the white border is not showing up on my end. In line with this, I'd like to ask a few questions to have a better understanding of the issue:

• Which Windows build and version is currently installed on the device? To check, click
  Start, type WINVER, and press Enter.
• Have you made any changes to the system using the registry?
• What is the make and model of your device?
• Are all user accounts affected by this issue?

As an initial step, I'd recommend that you perform a clean boot on the device. This will help us identify if the issue is caused by a third-party software. To do this, you can watch this video tutorial on

White Borders on right click menus

Thank you for replying back.



We have reproduced the issue from our end and we found that it is by design that the border of the window, when accessed in taskbar is black with white border. However the thickness of the border varies.



I suggest you to run SFC Scan by following the steps from the link below and check if the issue is resolved.



SFC scan is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.
If a Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected. For example, some Windows functions may not work, or Windows may crash.



Perform SFC scan by following the steps from the link below:

White Borders To Album Artwork Windows 10

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this procedure but it has had no effect at all so the problem persists.

Since asking the original question I have downloaded some albums from amazon and added these to the Music folder and the white border has appeared on those albums as well so it would appear it is only artwork added by WMP which is not affected.
