Discus and support windows native VPN client - can we turn off "local admin permission" request in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; we are making use of windows native vpn client, for users to establish vpn connection. however, it requires "local admin rights" everytime when users...     windows native VPN client - can we turn off "local admin permission" request


    we are making use of windows native vpn client, for users to establish vpn connection. however, it requires "local admin rights" everytime when users need to start a vpn session.by right, the local admin right ain't suppose to be given, but due to the needs of using vpn, we have to give the permission.and unfortunately, there is one user accidentally clicked on some link and installed some software which was against company rules - users is not allow to install software by themselves.is there anyway to "block" the request of having "local admin rights" whenever needs to establish VPN connect

    VPN question

    on the sonicwall vpn client the option you are looking for is split tunnels. enable that and you're internet traffic routes locally rather than across the vpn.
    the sonicwall admin can disable that feature if they feel it necessary or they just don't like you.
