  1. Windows Network Issues adding music files to a music streamer called Bluesound Node

I have a Windows 10 pro desktop systems with at least 6 16 TB Hard drives that I use for a media streaming system. I purchased a Bluesound Node product https://www.bluesound.com/usa/node-series. I first called technical support of Bluesound which tried to troubleshoot using all the possible Windows 10 networking possibilities but could not fix the problem i.e. Music files would not add. I could not understand the network problem I was having. I have the bluesound node connected via Ethernet and my Deco TPlink router recognizes it and gives it an ip address. I have checked the hard driv

Groove Music fails to scan network locations for music

I setup Groove Music and added a network location to the libraries where I store all my purchased music files. I have a total of three locations that Groove should scanning. The network share is on a WHS2011 with Read, Write and execute permissions.

    Music (Default Location)

    Music (C:\Users\UserName\oneDrive

    Music (L: \\WHS2011)

Groove picks up music in the local Music folder and on OneDrive but will not pick it up form the share.

    • I have verified that the share is accessible and all rights are being applied properly
    • I have verified and reentered my network credentials.
    • I have added the share via IP and Friendly.
    • I have created a directory link via MKLINK in the root of "C:" that pointed to the network share then added it to the library.
    • I have created a directory link via MKLINK to the share form within the local Music folder
    • I have mapped the share then added it to the library.
    • I have reset Groove Music
    • I have ensured windows is up to date
    • I have ensured that local music is being scanned and added to Groove Music
    • I do not have any events related to the issue
    • I have added a network share form a different device with the same results
Anything that I am missing or is this just a bug?

    UPDATE:

    • Ran a clean boot to no avail
    • Ran SFC and found no issues
    • Tried adding a network location then added it to the Library to no avail as well
    • Set the Shared location as Default save location as well as Public save location

    adding background music to video

You need a video editing program to do that. Because you tell you have no experience, I recommend you start with a free one before spending money, to see if video editing is something you might get interested in.

In my opinion, the absolutely easiest to use and by far the best of all free editors is OpenShot (OpenShot Video Editor | Free, Open, and Award-Winning Video Editor for Linux, Mac, and Windows!)

It is Open Source (Open source - Wikipedia), free with no hidden costs for additional features.

When installed, run OpenShot. List numbers refer to numbers in screenshot:
    1. Select Project Files
    2. Click + to browse to and import your video
    3. Video will be added to Project Files
    4. Drag the video to timeline, to any free track. Be sure to add video so that beginning of it touches the red vertical line at beginning of the track
    5. Right click video track, select Separate Audio > Single clip

Audio will be separated from video and moved to another track. Select the audio track, right click it and select Remove Clip:

Audio track will be cleared, the original audio of your video removed.

Import your music file to Project Files exactly as you imported the video, and drag it to any free track.

Usually the added audio track is not the same length than the video. If your music lasts longer than the video, go to end of timeline and drag audio track content so that it ends at the same point than video:

If your music track is shorter than video, you can add it again at the end of current audio track.

Now you can export (save) the video:

That's it! Easy, fast and free.

Note Please notice that if you want to publish the video on social media, YouTube and such, you must own copyrights for audio and video content, or have copyright owner's permission. On my 100+ Windows videos, when I feel the video needs some background music, I use the copyright free music from https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music. Another free source is the Free Music Archive.

BlueSound OS conflict with Windows Defender

I use a BlueSound system to play my music throughout the house. The system uses a BluOS operating system. The app plays the music collection on my desktop PC through the wireless network in the house.

If I Windows Defender ON the entire Bluesound media will not work. I have entered the BluOS into the allowable apps in Defender for both public and private networks but that solves nothing. The program is not allowed thru Defender. Turn Defender OFF and
the app works perfectly. Clearly I am doing some wrong or failing to do something.

Anyone have any ideas on what to try? Microsoft?
