  1. Windows Network Sharing

I don't know why this is so difficult to do. I have done it every way I can think of. Hoping someone else has managed to get it to work and can direct me.

What I Want to Do: Place my Laptop D:\ on the LAN Network to be able to be accessed from my Desktop and vice versa. I don't really want to have to keep plugging in my external HDD, waiting the hour or more to transfer then another hour or so to get it to the destination.

I have a Desktop and a Laptop. My Laptop has a 2TB internal HDD that I use to store stuff on if my Desktop's 1TB HDD is full or close to full. Windows OS is installed on my Laptops SSD C:\ drive and my Desktop has Windows OS also installed on an SSD C:\. I am signed into BOTH computers as Admin with the SAME Microsoft account. My settings sync so I know it's working. I have tried the Share function, but I'm just told either A: We can't find that or B: You don't have permission. I have tried making it a Network Drive but that won't work either.

I think what I want is pretty straightforward. Drive on Computer 2 be visible on LAN to be able to be accessed by ME the OWNER who is signed in on the SAME Microsoft Account and therefore STILL the owner.

Please, any advice I appreciate it.
