  4. Windows Networking does not pick up LAN cable connection on startup

Unable to connect to Wireless network on Windows 10 using D'link router.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We regret the inconvenience caused and will assist you in resolving the issue.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

    • Did you try connecting to internet using LAN connection?
    • Do you get any error message/error code when try connecting your device to the internet?

You may be facing the above issue due to the non-updated network adapter or due to the faulty network adapter device on your PC.
When a driver is faulty or not working properly, it can be identified by the
yellow exclamation mark on the driver in Device Manager. Updating
the faulty drivers will resolve the issue.

Step 1: If you have not tried, I suggest you to check if you are able to connect to internet using LAN cable.

If you are able to connect to internet using LAN cable, I suggest you to check if the wireless adapters are shown in the
Device manager by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select Device manager option.
    • Expand Network adapters option and check if the adapter to support Wi-Fi connection is located.
    • If yes, right click on the adapter and select Update option.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.
    • Close the window and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 2: If you do not locate the wireless network adapter under Device manager, I suggest you to download and install the latest and compatible wireless adapter drivers for Windows 10 operating system from the manufacturer’s
website and check if the issue is resolved.

Write to us with the answers to the above questions and the status of the issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.
