Windows 10: Windows no longer loads until you unlock the lock screen ?

My computer always loaded up even while the lock screen was still up. however recently it only loads once you unlock the computer. this has made startup slower. I can see that my custom mouse no longer loads on the lock screen and none of my programs have booted up when I get into windows, while in the past this wasn't an issue

Hi,

Do let us know if you are able to see any error message/ error code with locking the computer.

Let us try the below steps to unlock and check if it helps.

• I suggest you to restart the computer, try to unlock and check if the issue persists.
• Use On-screen keyboard to type in your password and check if it helps.

Click on the Ease of access on the lock screen at the right-bottom corner, turn on
On-screen keyboard to type the password.

Hope it helps. Try the above and update us the status of unlocking the device for further assistance.

Long Loading Time for Lock Screen

Hello Pawan, thank you for the reply!

I've tried all of the steps that you've given me. Unfortunately, none of them made a difference except for the clean boot step. It didn't completely solve the problem, however I did notice a
slightly faster load time for the lock screen. However, it still takes an unusually long time to load it. Any other suggestions?

Windows locking up at start screen. HELP!

It will load to safemode but will lock up, it locks up at the user screen.
