Windows 10: Windows not able to read USB pen drive

I have a old 4 GB USB pen drive, which Windows is unable to interact with. It detects it, but cannot read it. It is not a problem of my device or the Windows installation, because other pen drives work and I also tried it with another device, rather it seems a problem of my pen drive. I have tried every technical way I could go, except some third party recovery tools, Which I may try. I have tried "clean" command, tried creating partition, deleting partitions, converting MBR to GPT, all with command prompt and diskpart. Nothing worked. Windows tells me that I need to insert a disk, which is a

After finish, now I can copy/paste files on the USB drive. I'll test the USB drive on a Linux computer later.

They are storage drives - ext4

and;

Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB
SanDisk SDSSDH3250G

They are Linux drives on this PC

How to read USB pen drive

Open a CMD window as administrator and type:

diskpart
list disk (it will list all drives. Identify the USB drive number)
select disk n (replace n by the USB drive number obtained with list disk)
clean
convert mbr
create part primary
select part 1
format fs=NTFS quick
assign
exit (to exit diskpart)

It will show on Explorer with full capacity
