Windows 10: Windows not completing the update, always undoing the changes.

Hi..Few months ago when my windows 10 dell inspiron 15 3573 laptop is automatically updating, it is suddenly stop that and show the message "We couldn't complete the update. undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer." And this problem still happening to me four-five times for week. It is very disturbing to my works. Nearly four-five month I search for a solution and I couldn't found any.Another problem is there is no safe mode in my laptop. In System configuration->Boot tab there is no any operation system available to choose. And can't tick the safe mode option.And also in Startup &

I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Update. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Windows update.

Refer these steps:

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows can't complete the update and then it undoes all the changes

I am trying to update my windows to 1809, to use the ray tracing features on my RTX 2070. I am currently on version 1803. When I try to update using the windows 10 update assistant, it goes through all the steps but once it restarts to update I start to
have problems. It gets to 16% complete and then starts undoing changes. How can I fix this?
