Windows 10: Windows not detecting IGPU and descrete GPU in Graphics Preference

My PC has both the RX 7900xt and Ryzen 7000 integrated graphics. Both have updated drivers and work properly. Only problem is Windows only "detects" the GPU powering the monitor which has been designated the main one. How do I get both to show up? It used to work properly when I had an Intel + Nvidia system. And The reason why I'm having this issue is my motherboard doesn't have a display port so I am forced to use the GPU to power the 4k 60hz monitor via display port, and I am using the integrated graphics to power my 1080p 165hz monitor via HDMI to reduce idle power usage on the RX 7900xt. Graphics Performance Preferences

In the Graphics Performance Preferences settings you are able to set individual programs/.exe's/store apps to use either a high performance gpu or the iGPU to save power.

Leaving the option as "let windows decide" just leaves windows to always make the wrong decision, as it leaves the poor weak iGPU pinned at 100% usage trying to run 4k 60fps video which it does not seem capable of doing so even for YouTube videos, or it tries to share the load between the iGPU and the actual GPU leaving it at 5% usage while the computer chugs through something it can run fine.

Is there a way to change how windows decides which to use? Like an option where if the iGPU is overloaded it changes to the actual GPU.

Or a way to set each and every program on my computer to only ever use the actual GPU I paid for without having to do it manually for every program?

 

having issues with multi GPU

I’m trying to offload certain apps to my iGPU on the second screen, using the new graphics settings in the recent win 10 release. the issue is it’s only showing my 1070. lists it as both power saving GPU, and
high performance GPU.

I’ve been fiddling for a while now with no joy, and i’m really hoping one of you guys has an idea they can suggest to sort this!

I can extend onto the second screen no probs with it plugged into the iGPU, but the 1070 is still listed as both power saving GPU and high performance GPU.

Are there requirements for this? certain level of iGPU for it to work?

Edit - setting the secondary screen connected to the iGPU to be the "main" display in graphics settings makes my iGPU show as both power saving and high performance GPU, I just can't seem to get them
to be one and not the other.

 

Graphics Performance Preference shows only iGPU

I have tried updating my driver and uninstalling it, letting WINDOWS update it automatically (also updated windows in this process to 22H2). I am not able to get the third solution as there is no "Change power settings that are currently unavailable" in the options, I have attached a snapshot for the same.

- After updating my driver & its software, iGPU & DGPU was showing in Device Manager and Task Manager but not in the Graphics Performance Preference.

- After uninstalling driver and updated driver software and letting the WINDOWS install it on itself, iGPU & DGPU shows in both Device & Task Manager but not in GPP (Graphics Performance Preference).









Update:- Even after installing driver from Lenovo website the issue remains the same.
