Windows 10: Windows not performing on new SSD.

Discus and support Windows not performing on new SSD. in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I got a new SSD and i installed windows, it works fine for sometime and becomes extremely slow and then when i try to restart, it takes about 10...     Windows not performing on new SSD.


    I got a new SSD and i installed windows, it works fine for sometime and becomes extremely slow and then when i try to restart, it takes about 10 minutes. I've tried windows 8 as well, same problem. But Ubuntu works fine, what am i missing? I've used windows 10 previously on HDD but it's not working on SSD. I only have one 512 SSD installed since my old HDD died.

    Hmm somethings a miss there, namely the fact there are only 3 features listed twice *Roll Eyes Windows not performing on new SSD. :rolleyes:

    New SSD, is it performing properly?

    i would suggest to secure erase it, and partition it so that the partition is 25% smaller than the SSD's size...
    i believe that will Significantly increase the random access rate so that you won't experience the "pauses" that make SSD's seem slow... anandtech's lastest review of SSD's seem to make this suggestion.

    TL;DR... size your SSD 25% smaller than it's size. (windows partition...)

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
