Windows 10: Windows not properly working

When I opened my computer, everything seemed to be working fine, until I tried opening my Start Menu, but when I clicked the icon bottom left nothing would happen. It showed that my cursor was on top of it but it didn't open, same thing while pressing my Windows key. So I tried opening the apps in my taskbar. Some would work, like chrome, firefox, file explorer, but some wouldn't, like spotify, my mail, discord. When I clicked on the ones I last mentioned, a box would appear either saying "The application was unable to start correctly 0xc0000142" or "class not registered".I've seen posts say

We suggest that you try to run Hardware and Device troubleshooter using the steps below:

• Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
• Click Run the troubleshooter.

We also suggest that you update the keyboard driver and check if it work.

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g. updates, software installation)?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what specific troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you try reinstalling your camera driver to resolve the issue.

  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.

  Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.
